When a matter is quoted from $2,995 + GST

Some valuations take more work than the standard fee allows: a group with a trading company, an equipment trust and a property entity; a business with several divisions that need valuing separately; a dispute where the instructions come through lawyers; or a valuation at a date several years ago.

For these we quote a fixed fee in writing after the intake, before you commit. An additional historical valuation date is from $495 + gst where the underlying engagement permits it.

About fees

What does a business valuation cost?

An Independent Business Valuation costs $1,995 + GST for an established trade or field-service business. Accountants and advisers who refer matters regularly pay $1,495 + GST per valuation. Matters with multiple entities, disputes, significant plant or historical dates are quoted from $2,995 + GST. Every fee is fixed and confirmed in writing before work begins. See pricing.

How do I know whether my matter is complex?

Tell us about the business in the intake and we confirm which fee applies before you commit. Multiple entities or divisions, significant plant and equipment, unusual ownership, disputes, heavy customer concentration, complicated normalisations and historical valuation dates are the usual reasons a matter is quoted as complex.

Is the fee fixed?

Yes. The fee is set out in the engagement letter before any work starts and does not depend on the value we conclude. If the scope changes during the engagement, for example a second entity or another valuation date is added, we agree any change in writing first.

What is not included in the fee?

Work outside the agreed scope: additional entities or valuation dates, separate specialist valuations of plant or property where an engagement needs them, and expert evidence for court proceedings, which is a separate engagement. Tax, legal and financial advice are not provided.

How and when do I pay?

The fee is invoiced when you accept the engagement and can be paid through the client portal. Work starts once the engagement is accepted and paid.

Start with a short intake. We confirm the fee and scope in writing.

An Independent Business Valuation is $1,995 + GST, with a draft before the report is finalised. Typical turnaround is 3 to 7 business days once all required information has been received.
